CAN901 is an excellent choice for fine art reproduction, but it's smooth, uniform surface also provides an outstanding substrate for photographic portraiture. Manufactured by Dura Textiles, Explosion of Colors Ink Jet Artist Canvas is designed to produce the finest image quality for either fine art reproduction or photographic portraiture and will satisfy the most critical professional requirements while enhancing artistic creativity. Made of 100% gesso coated cotton to exacting requirements and then coated with a white matte, water resistant, ink jet receptive coating that is both acid-free and pH neutral. It offers excellent image quality, high color saturation, wide color gamut, and brilliant color reproduction. The coating is highly resistant to cracking and flexible enough to easily bend and stretch over frames without sagging. 19 mil Satin Instant Dry Canvas WR 350 g/m² is a single side satin coated Artistic Canvas for high quality graphic-art applications on inkjet plotters and printers. The slight glossy Inkjet coating is water- and scratch-resistant. This product is especially suitable for picture presentations as full color graphics, reproductions of art and photos, where the structure of the fabric is very pronounced and decorative. Due to the presence of natural components (Cotton) in the base material, the surface characteristic may vary slightly.

20 mil, 10 oz., (440 gsm), bright white, 100% Cotton Fabric. CAN1301 is acid free, pH neutral, and water resistant. CAN1301 is an excellent choice for fine art reproduction. 100% bleached cotton fabrics with a patented infusion preparation for inkjet printing. The products are very white with a matte finish, and have no Gesso Coating. The technology employed in the manufacture of the preparation is environmentally friendly and chemically inert. Designed for aqueous based dye and pigment inks, and will reproduce images with brilliance and clarity depending on inks and profiles used. It is extremely durable. Depending on the pigment ink used, it can withstand hand washing or machine washing (gentle cycle). The fabrics have passed rigorous testing for fade resistance, and resist well to both humidity and UV. In doing so, they also enhance the fade resistance of the inks over what would be expected of the same inks on other substrates The inkjet surface will resist scratches and scrapes better than most fine art inkjet substrates, and the fabric can be stretched, twisted, pulled, and wrinkled. Its reproductive quality and durability permits these fabrics to excel as mediums for photographic and fine art reproduction, as well as applications beyond typical inkjet canvas. It is useful in projects ranging from matte board preparation to interior wall coverings, and various works in fine art. This is a 100% bleached cotton with an even weave, inkjet printable on one side.

Giclée is a French word meaning spraying of ink. Giclée (pronounced “zhee-clay”) a Giclée print is an archival print using only pigmented inks — not dye inks, which can fade. The archival papers are acid free 100% cotton, all rag paper. The ink is sprayed on specially prepared paper or canvas by a large format ink jet printer with a very high resolution print head. Giclees are one of the finest reproduction methods available today. The depth of color far surpasses that of lithographs. Lithographs use the same process as printing a magazine, litho inks have dyes in them which is absorbed into the paper and will fades over time.
